Founder & Chief Creative Officer

Peter is a digital pioneer who was closely involved in the development of the World Wide Web at MIT in the early 1990's and whose CyberMap model was a forerunner to web browsers. He subsequently founded Galaxy Sciences based on his ongoing work as a Research Scientist at the MIT Center for Collective Intelligence.

Peter is also an Hon Professor at University of Cologne, Distinguished Visiting Professor at Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and Hon Professor at Jilin University, Changchun, China. Earlier he was a Partner with Deloitte and PwC, a Software Leader at UBS and a Post-Doc Fellow at MIT. He has a PhD in Computer Science from University of Zurich.

Full Stack Developer

João Gabriel Marra has extensive experience in full stack development with particular expertise in Android and iOS development and web front-end development.

He originally joined the Galaxy team as an MIT collaborator whilst working on the development of Galaxy’s HappiMeter product. Joao is currently a member of the SocialCompass and HappiMeter development team at Galaxy.

He holds a Diploma in Computational Enginnering from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora in Brazil.

Data Scientist and Consultant

Andrea is a Research Fellow and an Adjunct Professor of Engineering Economics at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. He cooperates on research projects carried out at the MIT Centre for Collective Intelligence where he was a visiting scholar. His research interests include social network and semantic analysis, innovation management and organisational communication. 

Chief CoolFarming Officer

Ken is a Research Professor at Wayne State University in the Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering, Detroit Michigan. His career spans thirty plus years in automotive consulting and has specialised in the diffusion of innovations in globally networked organisations. He was the Director of Research for Sandy Corporation. 

Organisational Anthopologist

Julia is a business and organisational anthropologist with over 30 years experience in industry and academia focusing on global leadership development, managing global teams, managing change, innovating across cultures and cross-cultural communiation and training. Julia is a part-time faculty member in the Industrial and Systems Engineering Department at Wayne State University teaching in the Global Executive Track PhD program, where she was a founder and co-director. 

Chair of Scientific Advisory Board

Detlef is a Professor at the University of Cologne where he chairs the Department of information Systems and Information Management and is a director of the Institute of Broadcasting Economics. He was the reviewer of the German Parliament’s Lower House for e-Commerce issues and is a consultant to the European Commission.

Chief Scientist

Kai is President of the University of Bamberg, Germany, and Professor in Information Systems and Social Networks. He was a Research Assistant at the Otto Beisheim Graduate School of Management (Germany) where he received his PhD. Prior to his appointment at Bamberg, he was an Assistant Professor at the University of Cologne.
